Square resin and walnut coffee table

A coffee table with an outstanding design for an upscale living room.

The over 95 years old walnut wood was cut at the first branching of the trunk to highlight the texture and multiple directions of the wood fiber. The intense color of the central area of the wood piece is given by the disease that the tree had contracted due to aging. This interior has been removed, cleaned up and treated before it was encased in resin. For this wood and resin table, we decided not to use any additional elements/materials or pigments, so they wouldn’t outshine the spectacular wood centerpiece. The table legs are made of electrostatically painted steel, they have a slender shape and are placed so that their fastening doesn’t hinder the perspective, but at the same time to give maximum stability to the table.
